Tutorials

The three tutorials analyse the same cohort, the Mayo Clinic primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) trial, and are meant to be read in order. Each runs top to bottom and needs tausurv[plot].

  1. Your first survival analysis: Kaplan-Meier curves, median and five-year survival, comparison by treatment arm and by histologic stage.
  2. Modeling risk with covariates: a Cox model, hazard ratios, SHAP decomposition of one prediction, calibration and Brier score on held-out data.
  3. Competing risks: death and transplant as competing causes, Aalen-Johansen against one minus Kaplan-Meier, and a Fine-Gray model.
